Ballarat Walking Tour

Yesterday we partook of the Inter-war housing walking tour in Ballarat. Here's some nice housies for your enjoyment...I want to move in!

This car happened to drive past...shame about the old Ford in the background!

Designed 1928.

I think this one was 1935 designed by HL Coburn.

Built by George Burchett.

I think this one is credited as "first appearing in rate books 1939".

Again, I think this one is "first appeared in rate books 1931".

Shame about the TV antennas, we could be back in time.

Victorian fence, so I'm guessing they knocked down the original house to build this lovely one.

So very English. I think this is another HL Coburn house.

Welcome to the neighbourhood!

I LOVE all those houses! They're like my dream homes :-)

Great pictures. Looks like it was a great day. The houses look like they could be in the English countryside.

I have recently moved just out of Ballarat and every time I drive past those houses I think how nice and big they would be inside and how very grand they would have been back when they were built. Thanks for the inspiration I will have to do the tour someday...
