Look like NEW!
Jumping forward a couple of decades, here's a Lux soap powder ad from 1944, that appeared in the Ladies Home Journal. I particularly like the vintage laundry product advertisments, as they take the task of doing the washing so seriously, and every product promises "the whitest whites", to "take the drudgery out of wash day" and now to keep your clothes looking like new! I can appreciate what a chore wash day was, as my mother had an old tub washing machine with external ringer that she did all the washing in up until I was about 20 years old (in 1990). She now LOVES her automatic washer, and I don't blame her.
